What happened this week?
Message from Mr Bartlett
Well done to all Room 4 students! It is not easy to perform in front of everyone, and they did great! We are looking forward to hearing more performances next term.
QUICK CUPPA - CROSS COUNTRY
The van will be at cross country on Thursday and you can order food for your child then too. Please make sure to use the QR code to order first thing in the morning on Thursday.
(Normal lunch orders from the Bakery and Heyfield Take Away Pizza on Wednesday).
A snapshot around the school…
Some great work around the school are displayed at the moment.
There are dioramas made by 5/6 students and the design of their mini-golf courses too. Some data and graphs from the 3/4 students. Some monster maths with the 1/2 students!
READING CHALLENGE
All students who have read and recorded their reading, each night, for at least 35 nights, this term, will receive a book!
Thank you to Mrs Taylor for organising the wishlists and orders of the books.
It was a great way to start the year and remind everyone how important it is to read every day, at school AND at home. Keep reading!
Let’s see what challenge will be next!
Junior Swimming Program
Look at these smiles! The Junior Swimming Program is over for another year! Well done!
Wednesday Activities
Our rotations of activities was a great success again this term. Our Lions Cubs genuinely enjoy spending time at the Laurina Lodge and spending time with the residents there.
More to discover next term!
Thursday Activities - Learning about Harmony Day
Yesterday, while classroom teachers spent the day working collaboratively, moderating students’ work, to develop consistency in our practices, students learned about what Harmony Day is about. They also did their last session of golf, with Gecko Sport.
ANYTHING-BUT-A-BAG-DAY
What a fun day! Thank you to the Junior School councillors and Miss Schmidt for organising it. We saw some creative minds at work! That’s for sure!
