What happened this week?

Message from Mr Bartlett

Well done to Room 1 & 2 who performed today at assembly. Next week, we will have Room 7 and Room 8 performing!

All our performances are filmed live on our Facebook page and group, so don’t hesitate to watch them online.

A snapshot around the school…

Pancake Tuesday - Special Morning

So many people joined the Walking School Bus on Tuesday! It was wonderful!

The pancakes were ready for them and Brekkie Club looked much busier than usual. At the bell, our students led their special person inside the classrooms and played Maths games for an hour. I walked around and I could see adults’ brains smoking at one point!! So much thinking and so many brains ticking! It was fantastic!

Thank you everyone for making this day special and a huge thank you to all parents who helped preparing breakfast the night before and on the day.

Maths is fun and we want to keep proving it to all of you!

Wednesday activities

Our Wednesday, we started our rotations of activities with students selecting between: gardening, hands-on learning, card making, lawn bowls, visiting the Laurina Lodge, training for cross-country, soccer, cooking and Lego Masters.

It is always very nice to see older and younger students learning to interact with each other, doing activities they really enjoy. Some made scones in cooking, others made more gifts for the RV Park, while others did some fitness exercises inside instead of soccer and cross-country because it was too hot to be outside for too long.

The ART Room

Students have been busy learning about ANZAC day and painting rocks in remembrance. We will soon be taking part of this special event.

You can also see the coloured cubes they have displayed in the room. Don’t hesitate to come and visit the ART room, anytime.

Environmental Leaders

Our Environmental Leaders have organised compost bins for each classroom. Now, all students and teachers can start placing their scraps in them, so they can be collected and we can use the compost for our veggie garden!
