What happened this week?
Cross-aged learning
Every Wednesday afternoon, we have rotations of activities where all our students are mixed together to do some learning in different ways. These afternoons are very important to enable students to grow socially as they learn to interact with other students of the school. They also play a crucial role in building vocabulary and develop further their oral language. I can guarantee you not many of them think of these sessions as learning but we do. Ask your child about their activity weekly!
We cannot wait to have our Foundation students join us from the first week of March.
This time around, students had the chance to choose between creating the display at the town library; going to the Laurina Lodge and playing with balloons with the residents; gardening with Mrs Jones; doing Chalk Art and they started with designing their Art on paper; learning about Science and how to create a volcano eruption; making jewellery such as bracelets; creating cards, which will be handed as an act of kindness or doing some hands-on activities with Bill.
