What a great week!
House Captains election for 2023
We had 10 students preparing a speech for the House Captains position on Thursday morning. Thorpe and Freeman houses had grade 5 students standing for the roles, but Bradman needed to have grade 4 students steeping up for it too, as we did not have enough grade 5s to fulfil the role. They were all nervous but brave and we are looking forward to working with them next year.
Freeman House: Congratulations to Hannah Sibley and Jack Gell
Thorpe House: Congratulations to Tyler Hayles and Darcy Cruickshank
Bradman House: Congratulations to Mason Beattie and Peyton Komen
Colour Run
What a fun way to end the week?! Thank you to all staff for enabling this event to take place, to all parents for your support today. I hope you all had fun! (There will be more pictures next week, when I work out how to get them from the iPad!!)
Cooking in Indonesian
Each year, one of final tasks for the grade 5/6 students is to look for a recipe prepare a list of ingredients for Mrs Taylor and then cook the dish during class time. If you do not have all the ingredients, you just have to be creative! This year’s cooking did not disappoint and I hear the ribs were a real success!
Wednesday activities
This week, the fishing group left for Lake Glenmaggie on the school bus. They had been learning and practising for the past two weeks on how to put a hook on the line and then how to cast. The oval was their first try, now they have moved on to water, but no catch…. yet!
Another activity has been the shadow boxes and I cannot wait to see the end results.
It’s starting to look like Christmas…
Decorations are taking place in some classrooms, the staff lolly jar has some more green and red, end of year celebrations are getting organised, Cricket is back being played in the yard and apparently some elves are running amuck in the school!
We have still two weeks together, let’s see what else we can find! Come and let me know!!
