What happened this week?

Music Performances

How lucky are we to have such a talented and fun music team!

The musicians from Legends of the Rhythm performed again, at assembly, today, and were joined by the choir afterwards. Their confidence in standing there in front of everyone and sing or play an instrument is very inspiring.

Mr Bartlett surprised all of us with a flash mob and we had the chance to show our dance moves with the Macarena.

Thank you for a great term Mr Bartlett.

Market Day

As part of their learning about Economics, the senior students created shops for their Market. As you can tell from the pictures, there were many different options and students seemed to enjoy it! Our weekly visitors, who usually take part in our Wednesday rotations joined in too!

Mixed age learning

Every Wednesday afternoons, our students are placed in groups and undertake activities together.

These rotations serve many purposes: it creates links with the broader community of Heyfield, it expands vocabulary and oral language and it enables students from any age to be able to interact confidently and safely with each other.

This was confirmed when I observed a group of senior students playing gaga ball with junior students. They played fairly and interacted respectfully, which is exactly how we want our students to grow. Well done.
