Illustrator Incursion

Marc McBride came to our school on Tuesday and took the whole school through his journey into drawing and becoming famous for his dragons and other fantastic creatures. If you have heard of Deltora Quest and Dragon Girl books, you would have seen his illustrations.

All students and some staff attempted drawing a dragon following Marc’s instructions and there were some good results!

Mrs Taylor has prepared a display in the library if you wish to look at it through the windows, or even better, come in and see it closer for yourself!

School Leaders

You can all be very proud of your school captains and vice-captains who have shown great leadership this week.

Firstly, they presented to a group of 25 members at the Lions Club, explaining what the Canberra camp will include, with the hope to receive some donations from the Lions Club. I praise them for standing up with nervousness but also confidence and represent our school.

Secondly, they have come up with the idea to give out house points at recess and lunchtime when they observe positive behaviours in the yard. They will give out raffle tickets, which will each have the value of 2 points.

Well done for showing initiative and being a great voice to all the students of the school. We appreciate you.
