What learning has taken place at Heyfield Primary School this week?

Science in food!

Many students have asked for us to share the recipe of ice cream in a bag so they can do it at home and show you! Enjoy! I hear it is delicious!

Athletics Day

We saw so many achievements today! Not only in the physical skills but also in the attitude and resilience of our students. Thank you so much to all of you who attended. It makes a difference and we can tell how proud the children are to show their skills and what they had been practising all week.

Miss Schmidt was on top of things with providing colourful face painting and nail polish, first thing this morning. Some of the boys learnt they had to be patient when waiting for the polish to dry!

Our 5/6 students ran the annual relay for their house and you can guess by Kobe’s smiles on the photo that Thorpe took the title this year. What a race though! Flynn from Freeman House was close behind and Jett from Bradman came flying passed the cheering crowd, not too far behind either! Great effort by all!

High jumps and long jumps took place at school for Juniors and Seniors, and I have to admit the high jump was the best of all for me. Some good jumpers we have here at our school, some good divers too!

Ribbons will be given out next week at assembly, and we will finally know which is on top of our ladder!
